Two The Gorgeous in Me
Divya Chauhan & Vithika Agarwal
Introducing Divya Chauhan & Vithika Agarwal
Miss India Asia Pacific winners; ex-corporate leaders; now entrepreneurs – or should I say celebrateurs! ‘Divya Vithika Wedding Planners’ is a full service Wedding Planning company founded in 2009 and based in Bangalore, India.
My Crowning Glory Question
Divya: “If you were to go back in time, who would you marry?”. My response was Lal Bahadur Shastri. He was a brilliant administrator who served the nation for soldiers and farmers alike.
Vithika: “Do you choose to live seriously or lightly? Either ways you are not coming out alive” My response was that I want to live life to the fullest. Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
My Wedding Today
Divya: Elegant, simple and very well planned
Vithika: Intimate, Classic and Traditional
Vanilla or Chocolate
Vithika: Vanilla & Chocolate. Why choose when you can have both 😉
Inside my home
Divya: After a long day at work, I come home to the chatter, loudness and laughter of my family. It seems contradicting, but I find it very calming and I would not have it any other way!
Vithika: Fun and mess that comes with a toddler at home!
Divya: Obsess about details and meticulous planning
Vithika: Hmmm, I don’t think I am an OCD kinda person
Bet You Didn’t Know About Her
Divya: Vithika seems tough. However, she is a very sensitive person
Vithika: Divya is an extremely spiritual person
My Day Off
Divya: Yoga. Finish a book – from the first to last page. Lots of fruits. Meal with Family
Vithika: A relaxing day at an Ashram
If Not a Celebrateur
Divya: Definitely a kindergarten teacher. I am fascinated by kids. They energize me
Vithika: An Entrepreneur for sure!
NEVER Wear to a Wedding
Divya: No casuals – Don’t think twice. Wear your best. Feel Good
Vithika: If you are guest, wear what you wish. I am looking at the couple 🙂
Our first ever wedding in Tumkur was attended by 11,000 people!
What’s the secret to the Duo Team success? What dynamics keep you going strong?
The fact that we are friends, have similar core beliefs of trust, honesty and integrity is what keeps us going strong. Our skills complement each other and hence we take on what we are naturally strong at.
Divya is calm, hands on, meticulous and great at vendor management and production. Vithika is creative and great at managing relationships. So, the Yin Yang works perfectly. Touch Wood!
When we started, we realized our pageant titles were a boon and a bane! People were welcoming and apprehensive. Could we survive the grind and deliver a memorable life experience? Well, it’s been 7 years now and quite a journey!
We feel a sense of accomplishment when we look back at the relationships we have built and dreams we were a part of.
We feel proud to have stood by our core values, built credibility. Above all – we are STILL Divya & Vithika.. And still rocking 🙂
You just launched www.desiweddings.com. Tell us more about it
This project has been in the works for 2 years now. We focus on complete personal commitment and involvement in every project we undertake. Hence, we limit ourselves to about 15-20 weddings a year. However, we receive requests from so many couples and families across geographies and budgets for various requirements.
Hence, our online startup DesiWeddings.com was born. With Desi Weddings we are now sharing our experience and expertise with a much wider audience, wider budget range and working remotely with more couples to make their dreams come true.
We help the couples with themes, budget planning, vendor selection, and on ground support as required.

Celebrations are glamorous. But for the Celebrateurs, it’s no weekends, no timings, lots of stress, anxiety and immense planning. If you are so passionate that you love all the grittiness that comes along, then go for it. Try it – before you get into it. Know that a hobby is different from profession!
