DIY | The Morya Project
So, my friends & I had all things planned for the Morya Project – well atleast we thought so! The first 2 DIY Ganpati Decor projects – Tabletop & Concert Ganpati Avataar, went off well. So, as we are getting ready for the finale, I fall terribly ill. And then the almost perfect plan goes totally awry !
But hey, Ganesh Chaturti is all about overcoming obstacles right? So yea, I barely managed to scrape through this arrangement for our Pooja at home! Read on..
ECO FRIENDLY GANPATI
This actually is a neck chain. However, I felt it looked better as head gear!
I used an umbrella and rolled it with the marigold garland.
I decorated the edges of the umbrella to with Mango leaves, to give it a canopy feel. I was very happy with the way this turned out 🙂 Thanks Kavya for this brilliant idea!
TOP IT UP
We topped up the Canopy with a Silver Gowri idol and added a flower crown. It looked really nice!
ON A FLOWER BED
We created a flower bed of marigold petals and placed the Ganpati on top of it !
I added 2 antique brass lights against the Ganpati..
The Panditji who comes for the Ganesh Pooja is a super rangoli artist! Check out this awesome rangoli creation – in about 10 mins flat!
This project brought together an awesome collaboration of friends & family. Divya, Aashna, Kavya, Priti & Chetana – You guys are Scrumdiddlyumptiously Awesome! Well this certainly was a very exciting project. I eagerly look forward to the next year!
Ganpati Bappa Morya!
