Winter Cocktail | Balanced Spice Blend

Butter Spiced Whiskey is a combination of a Good Blend of Scotch & spices. A good Scotch is a hard ingredient to mix with. Most call for a Good Blend which has a mix of malt, smoke & herbal flavors.

You don’t want all those flavors to get lost, but there are quite a few great drinks that show off Scotch well. Hence, ensure that there is a good balance of butter & spice in the scotch. Perfect for a cold evening!



Good Blended Scotch – 60 ml

Salted Butter- 1 tsp.

Star Anise-1 no.

Cinnamon- 1 inch

Sugar- 5 gms

Water – 100 – 125 ml



  • Recommended Glassware: Old Fashioned Glass, Wine Glass, Brandy Snifter
  • Boil the spices in water with sugar
  • Strain the water after the boil
  • In an old fashioned glass, pour the whisky
  • Top it with the spiced hot water
  • Add a dollop of butter on top
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick
